Musical StoryBox was brought to life by Katie and Melissa. With Katie’s expertise as a professional musician for over 20 years and Melissa’s strong background as a qualified primary school teacher for the last 15 years, their combined experience and dedication form the foundation of Musical StoryBox.
Having been friends for over 25 years and sharing a deep love for music and books, Katie and Melissa decided to combine their skills and knowledge to create a truly special educational experience for children.

What to expect from our classes
The Story Circle
In the story circle, we bring our chosen story to life through music, props and play. We tell the story using a wide variety of musical genres, including lots of classical music as well our own original songs. Children are encouraged to join in with their own instruments and sensory props.
Play Stations
After the story circle, there is a short social time for you and your little one to unwind and explore different play stations around the room. This is not only an opportunity for them to play and have fun but also a chance for parents and caregivers to chat, socialise, and make new friends.
Return to Circle
We come back to the story circle to sing a well known nursery rhyme all together and then enjoy using our colourful parachute for our final piece of music. Each session then ends with our calming goodbye lullaby.
